Mosmatic surface cleaners are made for commercial and contract cleaning: parking areas, fuel station forecourts, school yards, walkways and other paved public spaces. Fitted to a high pressure cleaner, a surface cleaner increases the rate of cleaning compared with a standard high pressure lance, and leaves large areas evenly cleaned, without streaks.
At the centre of every Mosmatic surface cleaner is a Mosmatic high-speed swivel, made by a company whose speciality is rotary unions. The water itself turns the rotor arm, so there is no motor, and the swivel bearings run in sealed, self-lubricating compartments. The rotor arms are precision-welded and balanced stainless steel, the housings and structural parts are stainless steel too, and most models take hot or cold water up to 120 °C. The parts that wear are sold separately, from swivel seal kits to replacement rotor arms, so a Mosmatic surface cleaner is kept in work rather than replaced.
Surface cleaners are not limited to flat ground: Mosmatic also makes models for walls and roofs. Kränzle South Africa supplies most of the range ready to fit a Kränzle gun, so a Swiss surface cleaner runs straight off a German-engineered Kränzle high pressure cleaner.

Every model and code is in the listing above. Pressure is the rating of the models Kränzle South Africa supplies; confirm the exact figure for a code on the quotation.
Where wastewater has to be collected, indoors, in public spaces or when chemicals are used, choose a model with a recovery port and connect a wet vacuum to it.
For roofs, the Mosmatic Roof Cleaner is a roof cleaning machine that sits over the roof profile. Kränzle's own surface cleaners are on the pressure washer surface cleaners page.
Frequently asked questions
What size high pressure cleaner does a surface cleaner need?
Pressure, water flow and nozzle size work together, and a large surface cleaner on a low-flow machine will not perform. As a rule of thumb with standard 1503 nozzles, Mosmatic gives at least 100 bar and about 13.5 L/min for cleaners up to roughly 520 mm, and about 20.5 L/min for the 750 mm models. Mosmatic treats this as a rule of thumb: heavier contamination and larger nozzles call for more, so the right set-up depends on the job.
Can a Mosmatic surface cleaner clean paving?
Yes. The Mosmatic Commercial and Contractor cleaners are made for paved areas such as parking areas, fuel stations, school yards and public areas, the Gum Remover clears chewing gum from sidewalks, stations, parks and schools, and the Graffiti Remover restores concrete, brick, limestone and wood. A surface cleaner is driven by a high pressure cleaner, so the machine has to deliver the pressure and flow the cleaner needs.
Is a Mosmatic surface cleaner supplied with a gun?
Kränzle South Africa supplies most Mosmatic surface cleaners without a gun, to be fitted to a Kränzle gun. These models have a 1/4-inch inlet rather than the 3/8-inch of the versions sold with a gun, so the gun connection is checked when the order is placed. The Mosmatic Gum Remover comes with its gun.
Can a Mosmatic surface cleaner be used with hot water?
Yes. Most Mosmatic surface cleaners take hot or cold water up to about 120 °C, which helps on grease and in hygiene-sensitive areas such as food-processing floors.
Can a surface cleaner clean walls?
Yes. The Mosmatic Allrounder is available with a toggle swivel that makes walls and angled surfaces easier to work, and the Mosmatic Graffiti Remover is built for restoring concrete, brick, limestone and wood surfaces.
What is a recovery surface cleaner?
A recovery model has a double-wall housing with a vacuum port. Connected to an external wet vacuum, it collects the wastewater as it cleans, so the water can be recycled or disposed of properly. The Mosmatic Professional, Allrounder, Graffiti Remover and Gum Remover all work this way, which suits indoor work, public areas and cleaning with chemicals.
How does the Mosmatic Gum Remover work?
A dedicated gum-removal nozzle strikes the gum at an angle so that it is cut and lifted off the surface, while the recovery housing collects the water and debris. Mosmatic states that no chemicals are needed for the gum removal itself.
