The Kränzle carwash range consists of commercial cold water high pressure cleaners supplied in two formats: wall-mounted, either in a stainless steel cabinet or on a stainless steel frame or shelf, and mobile, on a wheeled chassis with an integrated hose reel. Both use the same genuine Kränzle pumps, so the format is chosen for how the wash bay is built rather than for how the machine cleans.
Selecting by water flow and pressure
A carwash is generally well served by 10 to 15 litres per minute at 100 to 150 bar. Pressure breaks the bond between the dirt and the surface and water flow carries it away, so a machine should not be selected on bar alone. The two machines most commonly supplied are the Kränzle 599 at 10L/min on 230V, and the 799 at 13L/min on 400V - the 799 is supplied with an 055 nozzle that brings its working pressure back to 150 bar, as pressure above that risks damaging paint and trim.
The available electrical supply usually decides the choice before pressure does: the lighter machines and the 599 run on 230V single phase, and the 799 needs 400V three phase. What makes a Kränzle pump last in a wash bay
A carwash tests a machine over a long shift repeated daily rather than at its maximum pressure. Five things account for most of the difference in how long one lasts.
1400 r.p.m four-pole motor. Kränzle professional machines run at 1400 r.p.m where lighter machines generally run at 2800 r.p.m. The pump valves complete approximately 84,000 opening and closing cycles an hour instead of approximately 168,000 - half the duty, with less wear, lower noise and a lower starting current.
Forged special brass pump head. Special brass resists corrosion and suits long professional service, given clean water and correct maintenance. It is the component that decides how long the machine lasts.
Ceramic-coated stainless steel pistons. The ceramic working surface reduces wear where the water seals run, which is where an axial pump wears first. Kränzle coats them in its own plant, built in 2005.
Total-Stop. Closing the gun stops the motor instead of circulating water in bypass, where heat builds up. Larger machines delay the cut-off briefly so short interruptions keep pressure, and a machine left running unattended shuts down after twenty minutes.
Dry-run safety. Each plunger carries a fabric sleeve and a Teflon graphite backing ring, which reduce friction and temperature so the pump can run without water for a period without damage. A water cushion between the high pressure seals stops drawn-in air reaching the pump chamber.
The water tank and low level cut-out
Water starvation is the leading cause of high pressure cleaner damage across all brands. Where the pump is not supplied with enough water it draws air on the compression stroke, which causes cavitation, loss of pressure and premature damage to the seals and valves. The available supply should be measured into a container for one minute rather than judged by the size of the tap, and should be approximately one third more than the rated output of the pump: a 10L/min pump wants roughly 13.5L/min at the machine.
The Kränzle Carwash, Core and Quadro machines all carry a water tank with a low level cut-out. A float valve controls the incoming water, so the pump draws from a buffer rather than off a line that may surge or drop away, and the cut-out stops the machine rather than letting it run dry. The compact HD and K2000 machines are fed directly and carry no tank.
Wall-mounted or mobile
The Kränzle Carwash 599 TS and 799 TS are mounted in a stainless steel cabinet, manufactured at our Cape Town facility and fixed to the wall of the wash bay, which keeps the pump, the controls and the electrical connections off a wet floor and out of the weather. This is the format most established carwashes run. Larger sites are piped from the cabinet to more than one wash point, with remote hose reels, swivel booms and chemical equipment engineered per installation.
Where a full cabinet is not required, the same two machines are supplied as the Kränzle Core CW10/150 and CW13/180 on an open stainless steel frame, which keeps the working components accessible for service.
The Kränzle HD 7/122 TS and HD 11/130 TS are compact machines carried on a stainless steel handle rather than mounted in a frame. Where a permanent wash point is wanted without a cabinet, they can be fixed to a stainless steel shelf on the wall of the bay.
The Kränzle Quadro 599 TST and 799 TST are the mobile machines, on a four-wheel chassis with a hose reel and a water tank with low level cut-out. They suit an operation washing at more than one point, a mobile valet service, or a wash bay that has not yet been built out.

Frequently asked questions
Wall-mounted or mobile?
A wall-mounted machine is fixed in a permanent wash bay, keeping the pump, controls and electrical connections off a wet floor and out of the weather - in a stainless steel cabinet, on an open stainless steel frame, or on a stainless steel shelf. A mobile machine with an integrated hose reel suits an operation washing at more than one point, or a mobile valet service.
What pressure is used for washing vehicles?
Generally 100 to 150 bar at 10 to 15L/min, and not more than 150 bar on paintwork. Higher pressure risks forcing water behind trim, badges and seals, which is why the 799 is supplied with an 055 nozzle that brings its working pressure back to 150 bar. Vehicles are washed with the standard flat jet lance, not a Dirtkiller or Turbokiller lance.
What is the difference between the 599 and the 799?
The 599 supplies 10L/min at 150 bar on 230V single phase. The 799 supplies 13L/min at 180 bar on 400V three phase, and is supplied with an 055 nozzle that brings the working pressure back to 150 bar for vehicle washing. Both are available in three formats using the same pump and motor: the Kränzle Carwash TS wall-mounted in a stainless steel cabinet, the Kränzle Core CW10/150 and CW13/180 wall-mounted on an open frame, or the Kränzle Quadro TST mobile with a hose reel.

Yes. The stainless steel cabinets, frames and wash bay systems are designed and manufactured at our Cape Town facility, around genuine Kränzle pumps and motors imported from Germany.

Yes. Spares and repairs are handled from Cape Town with dealer support nationally, and wear parts are carried in stock.
