Kränzle South Africa offers a range of wet and dry vacuum cleaners for the home, the workshop and commercial cleaning, from 15 litre units up to 80 litre machines with three motors. They pick up dust and grit as well as water and sludge, so one machine covers both dry vacuuming and wet pick-up.
Take the filter bag out for wet pick-up, and put it back in for dust and dry work, where it protects the machine. Every Storm machine comes ready to work, with a 2.5 m hose and a full set of tools, and the range sits alongside the German-built Kränzle Ventos industrial vacuum.
Choosing a wet and dry vacuum
- For dry vacuuming only: the Storm Vacuum Cleaner Dry Plastic 15L, the one machine in the range without wet pick-up.
- For small wet and dry jobs: the Storm Vacuum Cleaner S/S Wet/Dry 15L, in stainless steel.
- For contractors, car washes and the home: the Storm Vacuum Cleaner S/S Wet/Dry 30L, with a single 1000 W motor and a stainless steel tank.
- For bigger jobs: the 60 litre plastic or 80 litre stainless steel Storm machines, each with two 1000 W motors.
- For professional car washes and contract cleaners: the Storm Vacuum Cleaner S/S Wet/Dry 80L 3 Motor, whose three motors switch on individually, so it can run on one, two or three.
- For working with power tools: the German-built Kränzle Ventos 32 L/PC, with a socket for power tools and a push-clean filter.

Every Storm wet and dry machine comes ready to work, with a 2.5 m hose and a full set of tools: a steel wand, wet and dry pick-up heads, a crevice tool and a round brush. The stainless machines run on castors with a cloth filter bag, and the larger units sit on a mobile trolley. The three motors on the 80 litre 3 motor machine switch on individually, so it can run on one, two or three. The Kränzle Ventos 32 L/PC is a German-built industrial vacuum with a 4,500 L/min turbine, 25 kPa vacuum, a manual push-clean filter and a power-tool socket.

Although the Storm vacuums carry the Kränzle name and logo, they are sourced locally, in the interest of offering a complete range; only the Ventos is manufactured by Kränzle Germany. All of it is held at our Cape Town facility, so customers in the Western Cape can collect or take quick local delivery, and it ships nationwide through the online store and our dealer network. Frequently asked questions
What is a wet and dry vacuum cleaner?
A wet and dry vacuum picks up both dry material and liquid. On the Storm machines you take the filter bag out to vacuum liquids. It handles dust, grit and workshop debris as easily as spilled water or a wet floor, which is why it suits car washes, workshops and cleaning contractors. Every machine in this range is wet and dry except the 15 litre plastic unit, which is dry only.
Do I use the filter bag when vacuuming water?
No. Take the filter bag out when you vacuum water, sludge or other wet dirt, and put it back in when you vacuum dust and do dry work, where it protects the machine. The 15 litre plastic machine is dry only.
Can I use one of these vacuums to clean carpets?
A wet and dry vacuum lifts loose dirt and water, but it does not deep clean a carpet. For that you need a carpet extractor, which sprays cleaning solution into the fibre and vacuums it back out.
