Kränzle pressure washers

Kränzle pressure washers are built in Bavaria by a German manufacturer that has made high pressure cleaners for over 50 years. They are engineered for long service life: forged brass pump heads, ceramic-coated pistons and slow-speed motors, which reduce wear and the maintenance that follows it.

The range covers domestic machines, commercial and industrial cold water machines, wall-mounted units, hot water machines, and petrol and diesel machines for sites with no electricity. Kränzle South Africa has supplied it since 1989, and manufactures the stainless steel frames, cabinets, wall-mounted systems and custom-built installations that go around it at our Cape Town facility.

German-built high pressure washers, in locally built stainless housings

The high pressure washers are manufactured in Germany. The systems built around them - stainless steel cabinets, wall-mounted installations, machine frames, engine skids, trolley systems and electrically heated Electra units - are designed and manufactured at the Cape Town facility, to meet the demanding requirements of South African industry.

Several machines in the range are built here and are not part of the German catalogue: the Electra electrically heated range, the hire versions, the wall-mounted cabinet systems and the car wash cabinets. Where an application needs something the catalogue does not cover, it is built to the site.

Where to buy a Kränzle pressure washer in South Africa

The domestic range is available on the online store. Commercial and industrial machines are quoted against the application.

Kränzle South Africa is based in Cape Town, at Brackengate Business Park in Brackenfell. Enquiries from Cape Town and the wider Western Cape are handled directly from there, and that is where machines are serviced, spares are held and dealer technicians are trained.

Everywhere else the enquiry is routed to the authorised dealer for that region, who carries the same range and the same spares. There are dealers in all nine South African provinces, and in Namibia and Zimbabwe.

What is the full range of Kränzle pressure washers?

Four ranges, divided by how the machine is powered and whether it heats the water. The domestic K 1050 machines run at 130 bar on a 230V supply for periodic use around a house. The cold water professional machines run four-pole motors for sustained daily work, from compact 230V units up to the Quadro range. The hot water machines add a diesel burner, or electric heating in the Electra range. The petrol and diesel machines run Honda, Torx or Yanmar engines where there is no electricity. Alongside these are the stainless steel cabinets, wall-mounted installations and custom systems built in Cape Town.

Are Kränzle pressure washers made in Germany?

The high pressure washers are manufactured in Illertissen, Bavaria, where Kränzle has built them since 1974. The stainless steel cabinets, wall-mounted installations, machine frames, engine skids and custom-built systems supplied around them are designed and manufactured in Cape Town.

What is the difference between the domestic and the professional range?

Duty and construction. The domestic K 1050 machines run a 2,800 r.p.m motor at a fixed 130 bar and use the D10 accessory coupling. The professional machines run four-pole motors at 1,400 r.p.m, are built for sustained daily use, and use the D12 professional coupling. D10 and D12 do not interchange.

What water supply does a Kränzle machine need?

Enough flow to keep the pump fed continuously at the machine's rated output, and clean water. Water starvation is the leading cause of high pressure cleaner damage across all brands. Where the supply is marginal, a tank-buffered machine or a break tank is specified rather than connecting directly to the line.

Should the machine be chosen on pressure or on water flow?

Both, against the job. Pressure provides the impact that releases soiling; flow carries it away and determines how quickly a large area is covered. On large surfaces and heavy soiling, flow is usually the limiting figure rather than pressure.

Can Kränzle pressure washers be bought directly?

The domestic range is available on the online store. Commercial and industrial machines are quoted against the application. Western Cape enquiries are handled directly; elsewhere in South Africa the enquiry is routed to the authorised dealer for that region.

Are spares and service available for older machines?

Yes. The pumps are serviceable assemblies with accessible wear parts, and machines are serviced and repaired in Cape Town and through the dealer network. Where a machine uses the older M22 coupling rather than D12, an approved adapter or a correct replacement assembly is used - mismatched couplings are never forced together.
