Kränzle petrol and diesel pressure washers are used where an electrical supply is unavailable or unsuitable – farms and agricultural operations, construction sites, remote installations, municipal work, and mobile contractors who take the machine to the job. They are cold water machines, built on the same Kränzle pumps as the electric professional range and mounted on a stainless steel trolley or frame.
The 2:1 Reduction Gearbox
Every Kränzle petrol and diesel machine is equipped with a 2:1 reduction gearbox between the engine and the pump. The pump therefore runs at half engine speed, where most petrol machines drive the pump directly off the crankshaft at full engine revs. Running the pump slower means the valves and water seals complete half the cycles for the same amount of work, so wear on the seals and the cost of repair are greatly reduced. This is the mechanism behind the price difference against a directly driven machine, and it is what determines whether the machine is still working in three years.
All models carry a thermal protection valve, which releases water once recirculating water in the pump reaches temperature rather than allowing the pump to overheat when the gun is left closed.
What is supplied with the machine
All petrol and diesel units are supplied on a stainless steel trolley or frame with a 10 m double-braided high pressure hose, a Starlet gun and a standard lance, and D12 professional quick-release couplings throughout.
Where an operator already runs a suitable petrol engine – a Honda, for example – the Kränzle pump can be supplied on its own with hose, gun and lance, to fit to the existing motor.
A speed control device is available and is recommended on all fuel-engine machines. It drops the engine revs when the trigger is released, so the engine is not running at working speed through every pause in the work. This reduces fuel use, noise and engine hours.

Electric machines are otherwise preferred, as they are quieter, cheaper to run and produce no exhaust.

Can a petrol machine be supplied with its own water supply?
Yes, on a skid. A standard skid is a stainless steel frame carrying a water tank, hose reel and machine, which can be mounted to a trailer or vehicle but cannot be lifted when full. The plastic pallet skid carries a 500 L tank on a food-grade plastic pallet and can be lifted under load; it is available for the Torx and Honda 13/150 machines.
Is there a diesel option?
Yes. The Kränzle D13/150F uses a Yanmar L48 engine and delivers 13 L/min at 150 bar, on a frame with wheels. A hose reel is additional.
