Kränzle car wash machines are built for regular use in car washes, valet centres and vehicle wash bays. The range includes wall-mounted stainless steel cabinet systems, compact portable machines and mobile pressure washers, with options to suit different wash bay layouts, cleaning requirements and electrical supplies. Every machine is built around a genuine Kränzle pump, with the stainless steel cabinets and frames manufactured locally in Cape Town and servicing, spares and dealer support available across South Africa.
Choosing the right flow, pressure and power supply
A car wash is generally well served by 10 to 15 litres per minute at 100 to 150 bar. The two machines most commonly supplied are the Kränzle 599 at 10 L/min on 230V, and the 799 at 13 L/min on 400V - the 799 is supplied with an 055 nozzle that brings its working pressure back to 150 bar, as pressure above that risks damaging paint and trim.
The available electrical supply usually decides the choice before pressure does: the lighter machines and the 599 run on 230V single phase, and the 799 needs 400V three phase. Output, supply and format for every model are set out in the table below the machines.
What makes a Kränzle pump last in a wash bay
A busy car wash needs a machine that can handle repeated use throughout the day. Durable pump components and built-in protection features help Kränzle machines meet these demands.
- 1400 r.p.m four-pole motor. The slow-running motor turns the pump at half the speed of a lighter machine, so the valves cycle about 84,000 times an hour instead of about 168,000 - less wear, less noise and a lower starting current.
- Forged special brass pump head. Wear-resistant and built to give an exceptionally long service life: special brass resists corrosion and stands up to sustained professional use, given clean water and correct maintenance.
- Ceramic-coated stainless steel pistons. The ceramic working surface is wear-resistant where the water seals run, which is a large part of that long service life.
- Total-Stop. Nothing runs while the gun is closed: the motor stops instead of letting water circulate in bypass and heat up, which uses less power, cuts noise and spares the pump. On the larger machines a brief delay holds pressure through short pauses, and the machine shuts itself down after about twenty minutes if it is left on and unused.
- Dry-run safety. A brief loss of water supply won't damage the pump - dry-run protection guards against the cavitation and seal damage that water starvation would otherwise cause.
- Reservoir tank with low level cut-out. Protected against the most common cause of pump failure: water starvation is the leading cause of high pressure cleaner damage across all brands, so the Carwash, Core and Quadro machines buffer the supply in a tank and cut out before the pump runs dry.

Wall-mounted or mobile
The Kränzle Carwash 599 TS and Kränzle Carwash 799 TS are the machines most commercial car washes run. Both are built into a stainless steel cabinet and fixed to the wall of the wash bay, which keeps the pump, the controls and the electrical connections off a wet floor and out of the weather. The 599 runs on a single-phase 230V supply and the 799 on three-phase 400V, which is usually what decides between them.
The Kränzle HD 7/122 TS and HD 11/130 TS are compact machines, carried on a stainless steel handle rather than fixed in a frame. For a permanent wash point without a cabinet, they can be mounted on a stainless steel shelf on the wall of the bay.
The Kränzle Quadro 599 TST and 799 TST are the mobile machines, on a four-wheel chassis with a hose reel and a water tank with low level cut-out. They suit an operation washing at more than one point, or where the machine needs to be packed away overnight.

Frequently asked questions
Wall-mounted or mobile?
A wall-mounted machine is fixed in a permanent wash bay, keeping the pump, controls and electrical connections off a wet floor and out of the weather - in a stainless steel cabinet, on an open stainless steel frame, or on a stainless steel shelf. A mobile machine with an integrated hose reel suits an operation washing at more than one point, or a mobile valet service.
What pressure is used for washing vehicles?
Generally 100 to 150 bar at 10 to 15 L/min, and not more than 150 bar on paintwork. Higher pressure risks forcing water behind trim, badges and seals, which is why the 799 is supplied with an 055 nozzle that brings its working pressure back to 150 bar. Vehicles are washed with the standard flat jet lance, not a Dirtkiller or Turbokiller lance.
What is the difference between the 599 and the 799?
The 599 supplies 10 L/min at 150 bar on 230V single phase. The 799 supplies 13 L/min at 180 bar on 400V three phase, and is supplied with an 055 nozzle that brings the working pressure back to 150 bar for vehicle washing. Both are available in three formats using the same pump and motor: the Kränzle Carwash TS wall-mounted in a stainless steel cabinet, the Kränzle Core CW10/150 and CW13/180 wall-mounted on an open frame, or the Kränzle Quadro TST mobile with a hose reel.
Why does the low level cut-out matter?
Water starvation is the leading cause of high pressure cleaner damage across all brands. The Kränzle Carwash, Core and Quadro machines all carry a reservoir tank and low level cut-out, which buffers the incoming supply and stops the machine rather than allowing it to run dry. The compact HD and K2000 machines are fed directly and carry no tank.
Are the cabinets manufactured locally?
Yes. The stainless steel cabinets, frames and wash bay systems are designed and manufactured at our Cape Town facility, around genuine Kränzle pumps and motors imported from Germany.
Is the equipment serviceable in South Africa?
Yes. Spares and repairs are handled from Cape Town with dealer support nationally, and wear parts are carried in stock.
