Tecnovap is a world-leading manufacturer of high-quality steam cleaners, with over 50 models of steam generator and more than 100 accessories for almost any cleaning task. It is present in 75 countries, and Kränzle South Africa is a proud distributor serving the South African market.
Tecnovap started in 1985 as a small family workshop near Verona, and forty years on it still designs and builds its own machines in Italy. Its boilers are TIG-welded from prime-quality stainless steel by specialised technicians, and made as a single body with no gaskets. Every component is checked and fitted by hand to protect the heart of the machine, and each steamer and tool is thoroughly tested before it leaves the factory.
Tecnovap sets out to keep bringing innovation to the steam cleaning sector, creating new technologies that meet the individual needs of each customer. Cleaning with heat and water instead of chemicals also leaves a far smaller environmental footprint than traditional methods, which is a large part of why steam has spread across food production, healthcare and hospitality.

Dry saturated steam cleans and sanitises using heat, not chemicals:
- Cleans and sanitises in one step. The heat lifts dirt, grease and residue and sanitises the surface at the same time, and because the steam is dry it leaves the surface almost dry and ready to use.
- No chemicals needed. It cleans with heat, so there is no chemical residue, and germs have nothing to build a resistance to.
- Uses far less water. A steam generator cleans with only a small fraction of the water a conventional high-pressure washer gets through.

Frequently asked questions
What is dry steam cleaning and how does it sanitise?
Dry saturated steam is high-temperature steam that carries very little water. In the boiler it reaches 160 to 180 °C, up to 183 °C on the ten-bar machines, and about 80 to 100 °C at the surface being cleaned. The heat loosens grease and organic soil and kills bacteria, germs and mould by thermal shock, using water alone. Because the steam is dry, the surface is left almost dry and ready to use.
Do Tecnovap steam cleaners need chemicals?
No. Dry steam cleans and sanitises with water alone, so there is no chemical residue and no wastewater to dispose of. Detergent injection is available on capable models for heavier soil, but it is optional, not required. Steam does in one step what the conventional wash, disinfect, rinse and dry routine does in four.
What makes a Tecnovap boiler different from other steam cleaners?
Every Tecnovap boiler is a single body of AISI 304 or 316L stainless steel, joined by a TIG weld with no gaskets. Gaskets are the part that wears and deteriorates over time, so leaving them out is what lets the machine hold its steam quality year after year. The heating element is interchangeable, so if it ever fails it is replaced on its own, without replacing the whole boiler.

It depends on the work. Single-phase machines plug into a standard socket and suit professional cleaning and detail work. Steam vacuum models add an integrated wet and dry vacuum that lifts the loosened soil away as you steam.
