COMPANY HISTORY
High-pressure cleaners, industrial vacuum cleaners and manual sweepers - this is the world of Kränzle. Founded in 1974, the Kränzle company has developed into the global quality leader for high-pressure cleaners. And there is a good reason for this. From the very beginning, Kränzle has focussed on the highest quality. Whether, for example, in the selection of the forged special brass for the high-pressure pumps or the ceramic coating for the pump plungers - top quality is the uncompromisingly clearly formulated brand claim.
"Rather Perfect … Than Cheap"
Josef Kränzle
Founder of Josef Kraenzle GmbH & Co.

1974 | Foundation of Josef Kränzle Armaturenbau e.K.
In 1974, Josef Kränzle founded Kränzle Armaturenbau e.K. in his own garage with the aim of manufacturing high-quality high-pressure cleaners for the cleaning market. The idea for this developed during his time at Wieland. It was here that he saw the first steam jet cleaner in action and was involved in the development of spray guns, among other things.

1978 | New production facility in Illertissen
The company outgrew the garage very quickly due to the high-quality accessory products such as spray guns and lances, so that shortly after the company was founded, a new production facility was already being considered. In 1978, the company moved to Rudolf-Diesel-Straße in Illertissen. At this time, Kränzle was not yet producing under its own name, but was manufacturing for established companies in the industry.

1981 | Production of the first own high-pressure pump
Kränzle is now known in the industry as a specialist for everything to do with cold and hot water high-pressure cleaners and offers a broad portfolio of accessory products. In the same year, Kränzle manufactures its first own high-pressure pump. An important step towards the company's own high-pressure cleaner is taken.

1984 | Foundation of I. Kränzle GmbH
Production of the first mobile Kränzle high-pressure cleaner and founding of I. Kränzle GmbH. In 1984, the time had finally come. Kränzle produces the first mobile high-pressure cleaner and founds the sales company Ingrid Kränzle GmbH in Bielefeld in the same year. Two years later, the high-pressure cleaner is ready for series production. The first Kränzle high-pressure cleaner is launched on the market.

2001 | Expansion of production and logistics site
After many successful years, numerous patents and new products such as the Kränzle therm hot water high-pressure cleaner, Kränzle is expanding and increasing its capacities with the new production and logistics site in Siemensstraße in Illertissen.

2007 | Kränzle South Africa (Pty) Ltd is established

2010 | Renaming and expansion of the management board
Kränzle Armaturenbau e.K. is renamed Josef Kränzle GmbH & Co KG, as it is still known today. Ludwig Kränzle becomes part of the management team and in future runs the company together with his father Josef Kränzle.

2012 | New locations in Poland and Switzerland
In the course of internationalisation and in order to be able to implement its brand strategy even more efficiently, Kränzle is expanding its locations. Kränzle opens its first international branches in Poland (Warsaw) and Switzerland (Bremgarten).

2013 | Manufacturing of the first steamer by Kränzle South Africa
Manufacturing of the first steamer by Kränzle South Africa that proves to be extremely popular in the wine industry for the steam treatment of wine barrels, boiling lines, pipelines and filtration systems.

2017 | Consolidation at the Illertissen headquarters
To improve the company's internal processes, efficiency and customer focus, the headquarters of Ingrid Kränzle GmbH are relocated from Bielefeld to Illertissen in 2017. From now on, production and sales will be located at the same site.

2024 | 50th anniversary
The success story of Josef Kränzle GmbH & Co KG now stretches back over 50 years. During this time, the company has developed from a company that took its first steps in a garage into an internationally operating industry leader. Innovative ideas as well as smart investments and decisions have set the course for further successful years. Read the Kranzle 50 Years Company History
GIVING BACK
In the current economic climate, many institutions find themselves in a position where they no longer receive as much subsidy or support as they have perhaps enjoyed in the past. During the years we have tried to assist where possible.
So many are registered as an NPO Organisation and are registered at the Receiver of Revenue for the Article 18 (A) Tax Advantage. With some of these donations, we were able to receive a tax certificate, and this allows us to deduct the donations when doing our tax return.
The Big Issue
We supported THE BIG ISSUE with a monetary contribution as well as Clothing and Personal Protective Clothing and footwear during the 2022 year.
As we go about our daily chores, we occasionally see THE BIG ISSUE Vendors on certain street corners selling their magazines. Not everyone realises that this is an opportunity for them to earn an immediate and legitimate income through selling the magazine. This is a first step towards developing a self-sustainable future. We invite you to support The Big Issue Cause.
Helderberg Hospice
Over the last few years, we have been proud to have supported Helderberg Hospice in Somerset West with contributions to various of their fundraising ventures.
As a palliative care specialist who focuses on the holistic care of people who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, Helderberg Hospice has provided comprehensive health care since 1986.
Being one of the first hospices in South Africa, it was established as an independent community organisation that embraces the ideals of palliative care to alleviate suffering.
They promote quality of life because every day is important, and we invite you to support Helderberg Hospice.

National Sea Rescue Institute
31 May 2023
Such a great feeling to walk along the Strand Beachfront and see one of ten rescue buoys we sponsored to the NSRI – with four others reportedly installed at Shelley Point, one in Gordon’s Bay and another at Pearl Bay in Yzerfontein, it is great to be part of this initiative to install the Pink Rescue Buoys at our waters.
We invite you to support the NSRI.
The Grain Care Trust
We supported The Grain Care Trust with a financial contribution towards their fund-raising Golf Day in 2022 and 2023. Grain Care is a registered NPO within the grain sector and functions with its own identity through Grain Carriers being very involved in helping feeding schemes with food and issuing food parcels.
During the Covid period, Grain Care was involved in the distribution of maize meal in almost all the provinces. Thousands of families and projects in need were helped through this initiative.
• Assisting the disabled: Grain Care assist many disabled children with their specific needs (Wheelchairs, hearing/mobility/sensory aids, prostheses)
• Elderly people in need: Every year a big social event is held for the elderly in need. More than 450 Elderly people, from different Old Aged Homes and communities are invited to join in this event where they are being spoilt for the day and therefore fulfil their need of socialising and being part of the community events.
We invite you to support the Grain Care Trust.
